PM arrives in Bucharest to start official visit to Romania

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his entourage on April 14 arrived at Henri Coanda International Airport in the capital city of Bucharest, starting official visit to Romania.

Phuc was welcomed by Romanian Minister of Culture and National Identity Bogdan Andrei Toader and State Secretary for Bilateral and Global Affairs Monica Gheitelescu at the airport.

During the first working day, PM Phuc will visit Prahova County, work with Governor of Prahova County Ioana Madalina and meet staffs of the Vietnamese Embassy and Overseas Vietnamese in Romania.

Phuc is expected to hold talks with Romanian counterpart Viorica Dancila and have separate meetings with Romanian President, President of the Senate and President of the Chamber of Deputies and attend the Viet Nam-Romania Business Forum.

This is the first official visit to Romania made by a Vietnamese PM since 1977.

Romania is currently the EU Presidency in the first half of 2019./.
