PM adopts Cultural Day for Vietnamese ethnic groups
VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng decided to take April 19 every year as “the Cultural Day for Ethnic Groups in Việt Nam” to raise people’s awareness of patriotism and national pride so as to consolidate the great national unity bloc.

National identities and solidarity will be highlighted in the Cultural Day for Ethnic Groups in Việt Nam

The Cultural Day also aims at honoring Việt Nam’s advanced culture imbued with national identities, disseminating and promoting mutual understanding and assistance among different ethnic groups, improving people’s cultural life, maintaining and upholding their cultures, languages, scripts and traditional practices.
The organization of the Cultural Day must be attached to local programs on economic-cultural-educational development, healthcare, poverty reduction, with specific activities carried out on the basis of traditional customs and practices of each ethnic group.
