PM Phuc receives Japanese Ambassador

VGP – Japanese investors are increasingly interested in Viet Nam’s market, especially in such fields like banking, infrastructure development, and high-tech agriculture.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc made the above remarks at his reception for Japanese Ambassador to Viet Nam Kunio Umeda in Ha Noi on September 12.

The Government of Viet Nam pledges to create favorable conditions for Japanese investors to do business in Viet Nam, PM Phuc affirmed.

PM Phuc said he had a working session with the Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi (VNU) this morning, during which he tasked relevant agencies to accelerate the construction of the VNU’s new campus in Hoa Lac. The new campus also includes infrastructure for the Viet Nam-Japan University – a member of the VNU.

Expressing pleasure at the fine advancement of the Viet Nam-Japan relations, PM Phuc spoke highly of the role of the Japanese Embassy and Ambassador Kunio Umeda in strengthening the bilateral ties over the past time.

For his part, the Japanese Ambassador said many Japanese investors expect to pour investment capital in environmentally-friendly, supporting industry, high-tech agriculture, and climate change adaptation projects in Viet Nam./.
