PM Phuc greets Chairman of Hong Kong-based Sunwah Group

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception for Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the Hong Kong-based Sunwah Group in Ha Noi on March 30, on the margins of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Business Summit.

Choi briefed the PM on Sunwah’s business operations in Viet Nam as well as its plan to expand investments in the time ahead.

He expressed his wish to invest in the field of steel production in Viet Nam using environmentally friendly and modern technologies, in addition to facilitating cooperation in other spheres of education, solar energy, and tourism promotion.

The guest also revealed that later this year, Sunwah will coordinate with the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing to organize tourism promotion activities in Northeast China, aiming to boost tourism cooperation between the two sides.

He said he considers Viet Nam as his second home, while pledging his efforts to bring more foreign firms to come and make investments in Viet Nam.

For his part, PM Phuc welcomed the Sunwah chairman to attend the GMS Business Summit, speaking highly of the group’s business operations and its plan to expand investments in Viet Nam.

The leader called on Sunwah to further invest in the fields of its strength and apply technological advances in the implementation of projects, while affirming that the Vietnamese Government will continue to create favourable conditions for Sunwah’s business and investment activities in the country.
