PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng receives Microsoft CEO

VGP – Microsoft Corporation pledges to back Việt Nam to boost IT applications, software industry and skilled labor force, said Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on May 25 in Hà Nội warmly welcomed the Microsoft CEO who is on his working trip to Việt Nam.

PM Dũng was glad that Vietnamese software enterprises have fostered closer ties with Microsoft in recent years.

Việt Nam has sped up computerization as well as IT applications in all fields, especially via developing e-Government and renewing administrative procedures, said the Vietnamese PM, underlining the practical and fruitful collaboration with Microsoft. 

The host leader took this occasion to call upon the Corporation to foster linkages with Vietnamese partners to create IT breakthroughs here.

According to the Government chief, Việt Nam is seriously abiding by the international regulations on intellectual property rights and hopes to continuously receive preferences for software applications. 

For his part, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer expressed his good impression on the developments of IT and software industry in Việt Nam.

In the coming time, Microsoft will proactively work with Vietnamese relevant ministries, agencies and the business circle to develop e-Government, IT technology and software industry, train high-quality IT labor force and consider other domains of cooperation, the guest said.   

The Microsoft CEO also committed to offering Vietnamese customers with good products at the most reasonable prices.
