Over 2,300 laborers in poorest districts sent to work abroad
VGP – Over 2,300 laborers were sent to work abroad one year after starting the Project on assisting 62 poorest districts to boost manpower export.

Some 4,500 people were given with vocational, English, and basic knowledge courses and 2,300 of them went to work in Malaysia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Macau, and Japan. About 1,000 laborers completed their training courses to wait for their turn.
Laborers in these beneficiary districts enjoy a wide range of preferences, including loans, administrative procedures, contracts, and earnings, according to Director General Nguyễn Ngọc Quỳnh of the Department for Overseas Labor under the Ministry of Labor-War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).
He said that the project will be implemented until 2020 and the first task, as he stated, is how to show people in these districts the real benefits.
The MOLISA said it will dispatch their staff to grass-roots areas to raise the awareness of local residents about the Government-funded project to help them escape from poverty.
The project is part of the Government’s efforts to achieve sustainable economic growth. Now, the population of the 62 poorest districts is 2.4 million, including 1.3 million in working age.
