Over 180 citizens repatriated from Equatorial Guinea exit quarantine facility
VGP – All 183 Vietnamese citizens brought home from Equatorial Guinea on July 29 were allowed to return to their families this morning after testing negative for Covid-19 at least three times, following half a month under medical quarantine.

All of them have been quarantined at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.'
They are among the 219 citizens repatriated from Equatorial Guinea. Of these, 22 have been confirmed positive for the virus after the hospital conducted Real-Time PCR tests.
The discharged citizens will contact the centers for disease control (CDCs) in their localities to be instructed how to self-quarantine at home.
As there remain many things unknown about SARS-CoV-2, the hospital recommends that all the citizens strictly comply with the preventive measures such as wearing mask and mitigating contacts.
Doctor Tran Van Giang, Deputy Director of the Virology and Parasitology Department under the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, stated that among the returnees from Equatorial Guinea, 15 had been confirmed with malaria, in addition to six cases of both malaria and COVID-19 infection. Until now, all the patients have progressed well, and the six COVID-19 and malaria cases have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 at least twice.
