May 27, 2021 3:04 PM GMT+7

On May 5, he displayed symptoms of mild fever, coughing and body pain and was admitted to hospital where he was diagnosed with pneumonia and tested negative for COVID-19.

He developed high fever and coughing on May 11. Three days later, he began to experience shortness of breath and was taken to Thuan Thanh district medical center in Bac Ninh province where he tested positive for COVID-19.

On May 15, he was transferred to the Ha Noi-based National Hospital for Tropical Diseases where he was diagnosed with septic shock and pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2.

Despite extensive care, his health conditions deteriorated and he died at 10:31 pm on May 26.
