One more COVID-19 case confirmed, total rises to 382

VGP – One more Russian expert has been confirmed the latest COVID-19 case in Viet Nam, raising the patient tally to 382, reported the National Steering Committee minutes ago.

The latest case is a 64-year old man who landed at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport on July 11 on flight IO4405 from Russia.

He is the 9th Russian passenger infected with the virus in Viet Nam. All of the Russian patients were among 69 passengers onboard the flight.

With the fresh patient, the number of imported cases rose to 241, or over 63% of the total patients.

As of Friday, Viet Nam has gone 92 days without a community-transmitted case of COVID-19, said the national committee.

Of the patient tally, 357 have been cleared of the virus and the current patients include 16 tested negative for the virus once, the committee added.

As many as 10,133 people are placed under medical surveillance, of whom 78 at hospitals, 9,613 at centralized quarantine camps, and 442 at places of residence./.
