In Hà Nội, compared to September, prices and charges of eight out of ten goods and service groups, including restaurant, drinks and tobacco, garment, hats and footwear, home appliances and utensils, culture, entertainment and tourism, housing, electricity, water, fuel and building materials, medicines and healthcare, transport, posts and telecommunications have climbed up by 0.04-0.66%.

Hà Nội’s CPI in the first 10 months of this year has risen 8.94% per month in comparison to the same period last year, according to the capital city’s Statistics Department.

Meanwhile, the monthly figure of Hồ Chí Minh City stands at 5.87%.

In October, prices and charges of transport, posts and telecommunications, housing, electricity, water, fuel and building materials have increased fairly considerably, while other goods and services rose slightly or remained unchanged.

According to local economists, the recently–lowered retail prices of petroleum products are helping to stabilize the domestic market.
