Number of re-operated firms up 84.5% in January

VGP – A total number of 8,465 firms re-operated in January, 2019, up 84.5% compared to the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office.

Retails, sales take the lead in the number of new firms in January, 2019.

As many as 10,079 enterprises were established in the first month of 2019 with the total registered capital of VND151,100 billion, down 7% in the number and up 53.8% in capital against the same period last year. The average capital for each enterprise was estimated at VND15 billion, up 64.8%. 

As much as VND484,000 billion added to the economy in January, raising the total registered and additional capital to VND635,100 billion. 

The number of newly-established enterprises in all regions nationwide decreases compared to the same period last year, including Southeast (down 11.8%) and Red River Delta (down 9.8%).

The total laborers working for new firms in the month hit 107,900, up 26.5%. 

In January, the number of dissolved enterprises reached 1,802, up 16%.
