Number of new firms up 6.2% in Q1

VGP – As many as 28,452 new firms were set up in the frist quarter of 2019 with the registered capital of VND375,500 billion, up 6.2% and 34.8% in terms of the number of enterprises and capital, respectively, according to the General Statistics Office.

The number of re-operated firms over the recent three months of 2019 witnesses sharp increase of 78.1% with 15,050 ones, raising the total number of new and re-operated firms to 43,500 ones. The total registered and additional capital to the economy in the first quarter of 2019 is VND1,098 billion.

Almost all the sectors witness increases in the numbers of new firms against the same period last year.

The Southeast still takes the lead in the number of newly-enterprises with 11,800 ones, registering VND217.100 billion in cpaital, up 64.7%.
