Number of new enterprises up 13.8%

VGP – As many as 72,953 enterprises were established in the first seven months of 2017, with a total registered capital of VND690,700 billion, up 13.8% in the number and up 39% in the capital against the same period in 2016, according to the General Statistics Office.

The total additional capital of VND979,800 billion from 21,400 enterprises raised the total capital in seven months to VND1,670,500 billion.

The average capital of each enterprise was estimated at VND9.5 billion, up 22.2%.

 The number of enterprises operating in sales and retails took the lead with 25,900 ones, accounting for 35.5% and up 14.1%. It was followed by the construction sector with 9,600 ones, making up 13.2% and up 10.3%, 9,500 ones operating in the processing and manufacturing sector, accounting for 13% and up 9%, science, technology, consultancy, designing, advertisement and other sectors with 5,500 ones, accounting for 7.6% and up 10.3% and 2,700 ones operating in the real estate sector, making up 3.7% and up 68%.

6,608 businesses were dissolved in seven months, up 2.9%, including 6,104 ones with the capital scale under VND10 billion, accounting for 92.4%.

A total number of 43,274 enterprises temporally stopped operating, up 19.5% while 2,123 ones re-operated, up 10.5%.
