No new COVID-19 community infections over 72 consecutive days
VGP – Viet Nam has gone 72 days in a row without recording new COVID-19 infections in the community, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said early Saturday.
Among the total 353 COVID-19 infection cases in the country, 213 imported cases were sent for medical quarantine upon arrival.
At present, 7,846 people having close contact with COVID-19 patients or entering from pandemic-hit areas are under medical surveillance, including 67 at hospitals, 5,563 at concentrated quarantine establishments, and 7,216 at home.
Earlier on June 26, one more COVID-19 patient has been cleared of the virus, raising the total recovered patients to 330, making up 93.5%, according to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District, Ha Noi.
Latest recovered patient (numbered 292) is a 27-year old man residing in Cam Ranh, the central province of Khanh Hoa, hospitalized on May 17. He will be isolated and medically monitored in the next 14 days.
The current 23 patients are being treated at medical facilities with their health reported in stable condition. Four of them tested negative for the coronavirus once and three at least twice./.
