Nhơn Trạch urban quarter to become Đồng Nai’s center of industry, trade, service and tourism by 2020

VNGOVNet – The PM approved on December 21 the revised Overall Planning Scheme on the Nhơn Trạch New Urban Quarter, Đồng Nai Province, to 2020.

December 23, 2006 11:25 AM GMT+7

Accordingly, the Nhơn Trạch New Urban Quarter is planned to become a center of industry, trade-services, tourism, education and training, science and technology of Đồng Nai Province by 2020. This will also be a southern key zone to develop as a grade-II urban area.

The Decision clearly defines that by 2020, Nhơn Trạch will cover an area of urban construction of 22,700 ha, and a population of 600,000 people.

The quarter consists of several functional sub-quarters: urban residential quarters (about 5,930 ha), industrial parks and groups (about 3,600 ha), system of urban and professional centers, green areas, water areas and parks (about 6,165 ha), eco-tourism zones (about 2,000 ha), and the suburbs.

Nhơn Trạch will have the Phước An commodity port in the Thị Vải River, tourist harbors in the Đồng Tranh and Đồng Nai Rivers, and other ports.

The Nhơn Trạch Urban Quarter’s center will be built in an area of 600 ha, with a landscape belt with skyscrapers and low-storeyed architectures along the Đồng Nai, Nhà Bè, Cái, and Đồng Môn Rivers.
