Vinh City will be converted into a tourist hub in the northern Central Coast, with various high-qualified services.

The province also pays attention to the development of  tourism in coastal areas, western suburban districts, northwestern and western parts, and the border areas to Laos and Thailand.

The locality expects to welcome over eight million guests, including 700,000 foreign visitors, from now to 2020 and to generate over 300,000 jobs for local residents.

In the short term, until 2010, Nghệ An will spend land funds on investment projects and improve transportation, electricity and water supply, waste treatment, and telecommunications.

From 2011 to 2015, the province intends to upgrade technical infrastructure in Pù Mát, Pù Huống and Pù Hoạt National Parks and the Quỳ Châu Culture and Ecotourist Site.

Since 2020, tourism development in border areas will be promoted in order to combine tourism and trade./.
