New regulations on industrial property
VGP – Any organization or individual committing activities relating to the sale of fake brand or trademark goods will be imposed pecuniary penalty from VND 4-500 million.

According to the Government’s Decree 97/2010/NĐ-CP, taking effect since November 9, 2010, violators will have to pay a fine of VND 1-3 million if they violate regulations on inspection and examination of industrial property.
Individuals or organizations will be fired VND 10-30 million for using instructions which make clients confused of origins, quality, quantity, features and trademarks of products and services.
The heaviest penalty, valued VND 2-500 million, will be imposed on individuals or organizations who deliberately infringe intellectual property rights, utility solutions, and industrial designs.
