New policies effective from July 2018

Valuating assets and examining damage in the State’s compensation liability

Effective from July 1, 2018, the Decree No. 68/2018/ ND-CP issued by the Government on May 15, 2018 details and guides the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on State Compensation Liability, specifically stipulating the valuation of property and the examination of property damage in Clause 1, Article 45 of the Law.

Increasing basic salary from July 1, 2018

According to Decree No. 72/2018 /ND-CP issued by the Government on May 5, 2018, the new basic salary will increase from VND1.3 million to VND1.39 million as of July 1, 2018, applied for public servants and armed forces.

Supporting enterprises with projects in the lines of technology transfer

Effective from July 1, 2018, the Government’s Decree No. 76/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018 details and guides the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Technology Transfer, supporting enterprises with projects in the industries and areas subject to investment incentives, to receive technology transfer from scientific and technological organizations.

Supporting development of small-scale irrigation and on-farm irrigation

Effective from July 1, 2018, Decree No. 77/2018/ND-CP issued by the Government on May 16, 1818 stipulates supporting the development of small-scale irrigation, on-farm irrigation, and advanced and water-saving irrigation and advanced irrigation.

General requirements for the building of standards and technical regulations.

Effective from July 1, 2018, the Government’s Decree No. 78/2018/ND-CP dated May 16, 2018 amends and supplements a number of articles of Decree No. 127/2007/ND-CP dated August 1, 2007 detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations. Accordingly, some general requirements for the building of standards and technical regulations are supplemented.

New regulations on promotional activities.

Effective from Jul 15, 2018, the Government’s Decree No. 81/2018/ND-CP dated May 22, 2018 details the implementation of the Commercial Law regarding trade promotion activities, including sales promotion.

Managing industrial zones and economic zones.

Effective from July 10, 2018, Decree No. 82/2018/ND-CP issued by the Government on May 22, 2018 stipulates the management of industrial zones and economic zones.

Guiding measures to support credit institutions providing loans for agricultural development

Effective from July 13, 2008, Circular No. 14/2018/TT-NHNN guides the implementation of measures on regulating monetary policy tools to support credit institutions that provide loans for agricultural and rural area development, as stipulated in Decree No. 55/2015/ND-CP.
