New firms up 2.8% in nine months

VGP – A total number of 96,611 newly-established enterprises were recorded over the recent nine months of 2018 with the total registered capital of VND964,400 billion, up 2.8% and up 6.7% in terms of the number and the capital against the same period last year.

Director General of the General Statistics Office Nguyen Bich Lam said that the average registered capital for a new firm reached VND10 billion, up 3.8%.

The total additional capital from the existing enterprises over nine months attained VND1.882 trillion, raising the total capital contributed to the economy to VND2.845 trillion.

The number of re-operated enterprises obtained 22,897 ones, up 8.5% while the number of suspended enterprises was estimated at 73,103 ones, up 48.1%.

As many as 11,536 firms are waiting for dissolution in nine months, up 32.1%, including 10,591 ones with the capital scale under US$10 billion.
