Participants to the event included Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Ba Ty, Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung, Minister of Home Affairs Le Vinh Tan and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of Vinh Phuc Province’s Party Committee Doan Van Tien highlighted it as a historical event, marking a crucial landmark in Phuc Yen City’s establishment and development process.

The city covers 120 km2 with the population of more than 155,000 people. It connects northern mountainous provinces in the North with the capital city of Ha Noi.

About 8 km from Noi Bai International Airport, the city has advantages for economic development and cultural exchanges with other localities.

Over the recent three years, the city contributed to the State budget more than VND20,000 billion. The GDP income per capita reached more than VND75 million and the poor household only accounted for 1.63% of the population.
