New Chairperson of Central Organization Commission Named

VGP – Politburo member Truong Thi Mai has been assigned as new Chairperson of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission.

Mai, who was born on January 23, 1958 in the central province of Quang Binh, served as Chairwoman of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization since 2016.

She took over the new role from his predecessor Pham Minh Chinh who was elected by the National Assembly on April 5 as the 10th Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

Mai is the first female leader of the Central Organization Commission which is an advisory body to the Party Central Committee and placed under direct management of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat.

The Commission is in charge of Party and political system building work./.
