Negotiating approaches and guidelines adopted for VN-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement
VNGOVNet – On the proposal of the Ministry of Trade, the PM agreed on January 19 in principle to the approaches and guidelines to negotiate the Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).

The PM also agreed that members on the EPA negotiating team will enjoy every of the same allowances for the Government negotiating team for international trade and the ASEAN negotiating team dealing with non-ASEAN partners in line with the PM’s documents 1172/TTg-VX (dated August 18, 2005) and 1288/TTg-QHQT (dated Auguts 31, 2005).
The Office of the National Committee for International Economic Cooperation was entrusted to estimate, spend and state the balance of funding for different areas in which the inter-Ministerial negotiating team works on the Vietnam-Japan EPA, starting 2007.
