Specifically, Hai Duong, the epicenter of the third coronavirus wave, had the highest number of vaccinated people with 17,248, followed by Ha Noi (6,926), Hai Phong (632), Hung Yen (2,665), Bac Ninh (2,737), Bac Giang (2,941), Hoa Binh (1.311), Ha Giang (297), Dien Bien (476), Da Nang (117), Khanh Hoa (105), Gia Lai (1,089), HCMC (948), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (87), Binh Duong (1,736), Long An (244), Quang Ninh (10), Dong Thap (57), and Tay Ninh (191).

This is the first stage of the national innoculation program after the country had received the very first batch of 117,600 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine in February.

Over 811,000 doses of vaccine from the COVAX Facility is expected to be delivered to Ha Noi by the middle of April.

Around 33 million doses that COVAX has pledged for Viet Nam in the second half of this year may be delayed until next year.

Viet Nam has gone seven straight days without a single locally-transmitted case, keeping the national caseload at 2,576, of which 1,601 are local infections, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam./.
