Nearly 240 Vietnamese citizens in Malaysia repatriated

VGP – A Vietjet Air flight carrying nearly 240 Vietnamese citizens in Malaysia landed at Cam Ranh International Airport in Khanh Hoa Province on August 13, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Passengers included pregnant women, patients with chronic diseases, children under 18, the elderly, laborers with expired labor contracts and other disadvantaged cases. 

Upon arrival, all the passengers and crew members were medically checked and quarantined in accordance with the current regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.

Since April 10, Viet Nam has organized 98 rescue flights, bringing home 24,509 Vietnamese citizens stranded abroad due to COVID-19./.
