National Party Congress elects 12th Party Central Committee

As scheduled, the delegates received a list of candidates and recorded their votes in their delegations. 

At 9:30, they cast their votes for the members at the hall and then elected a board for checking the votes and counting the votes. 

Earlier on the afternoon of January 25, the Congress held a plenary working session at the hall and approved a list of candidates and nominees for the 12^th PCC’s members, as well as withdrawals from the list.

Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, Secretary General of the 11^th PCC and Head of the Congress’ Presidium chaired the session.

On behalf of the Presidium, Politburo member, PCC Secretary and Head of the PCC Commission for Organization, To Huy Rua presented an overall report on candidacy, nomination and withdrawals sent by delegations and delegates.

The congress elected a board for checking votes.

Then, the congress approved the list of candidates, nominees and withdrawals and finalized a list of candidates for the 12^th PCC.

On the morning of January 25, the delegates studied a personnel list of the 12^th PCC. The Presidium had a meeting and discussed candidacy, nomination and withdrawals from the list of candidates.
