National COVID-19 patient tally surpasses 22,000

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 504 new COVID-19 cases this evening, raising the national patient tally to 22,064.

The number of daily new COVID-19 cases from June 20 to July 6

The latest patients include two Vietnamese repatriated from Russia and India on July 3 and June 15, respectively, and two returnees who entered Viet Nam via Moc Bai international border gate in the southern province of Tay Ninh from June 28-29.

All the others are domestic infections recorded in Ho Chi Minh City (271), Dong Thap (99), Binh Duong (92), Phu Yen (16), Long An (8), Nghe An (3), Bac Giang (2), Bac Ninh (2), Ha Noi (2), Tra Vinh (2), Lang Son (1), Hung Yen (1) and An Giang (1). Of these, 462 cases were uncovered in quarantine camps or lockdown areas.

The ministry also announced 55 patients were declared free of the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,077.

It also reported four new fatalities, taking the death toll to 94.
