Namibia calls for VN’s investment in its aquaculture

VGP - Namibia welcomes Vietnamese experts and businesses who help it develop aquaculture, increase production value and create more jobs, Namibian Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Bernhard Martin Esau said at the meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Đức Phát on June 14 in Hà Nội.

Namibia hopes to welcome Việt Nam’s experts as it wants to convert its aquaculture into an export sector, the Namibian minister said.

Mr. Phát said Việt Nam would like to coordinate with Namibia in developing aquaculture, especially in overseas water areas, as well as in trade and investment in other sectors.

Việt Nam has merely exchanged technical experience with African countries in fishing and fish raising, the Vietnamese minister said.

The two ministers agreed to hasten the trilateral agreement signed in May among Việt Nam, Namibia and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations on providing aquaculture experts.
