NA wraps up first session

Key State positions
Addressing the closing ceremony, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that legislators listened to a report of the National Election Council on the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly People's Councils for 2016-2021.
The NA collected comments to improve its operation in the next term, said the top legislator.
In the responsible and democratic spirit, the NA reviewed and decided the organization of State organs in accordance with the laws.
Especially, legislators also listened a Government’s report on the implementation of the socio-economic tasks in 2015 and early 2016.
The NA acknowledged the Government’s effort in socio-economic management with positive outcomes. However, the NA also pointed out weaknesses.
The NA also ratified the resolution on the balance sheet of the State budget for 2014 and asked the Government to take measure to cut over-budget spending and ensure public debt at safe level, said the Chairwoman.
Towards innovation and reform
NA Chairwoman Ngan emphasized that the 14th NA would continue to renovate and improve operation quality and fulfill the assigned tasks.
The top legislator also tasked State agencies to promptly perfect organization and personnel./.
