NA passes two revised laws

VGP – With a majority of votes, the National Assembly on November 24 in Ha Noi approved the revised Law on the Organisation of People’s Courts and the revised Law on the Organisation of People’s Procuracies.

With 83.5% of votes, the new Law on the Organisation of People’s Courts consists of 11 chapters and 98 articles regulating their functions, tasks, missions and organisational structure.

NA deputies also adopted a resolution on the enforcement of the revised law.

Meanwhile, the revised Law on the Organisation of People’s Procuracies was passed with 411 votes (82.7%), comprising 6 chapters and 101 articles.

The revised law stipulates functions, tasks, missions and the organisational structure of People’s Procuracies.

The NA also passed a resolution on the enforcement of the revised Law on the Organisation of People’s Procuracies.

The same day, NA deputies also discussed the adoption of the United Nations Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment of Punishment and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities./.
