NA passes State budget allocation

VGP – The National Assembly adopted a resolution on State budget allocation for 2017 on November 14 in Ha Noi.

With 405 votes in favor (82.15%), the NA approved  the resolution which stipulated VND 729,730 billion (US$ 33.1 billion) as central budget revenue and VND 428,450 billion (US$ 20 billion) as local budget revenue.

Total central budget spending is VND 902,030 billion (US$ 41 billion). Around VND 254,630 (US$11.5 billion) will be added to local budget.

The NA requested that the Government assigned ministries, agencies, and localities to collect and spend State budget in accordance with the Law on State budget; seek other sources of investment and finance; and strive for more collection and reduce spending.  

The NA Standing Committee, the NA Commission on Finance-Budget, the Ethnic Council, other NA Committees, and deputies were asked to keep a close watch on central budget allocation in 2017.
