NA continues to focus on law making task
VGP – The third session of the 14th National Assembly was officially opened on May 22 in Ha Noi and will focus on law making mission during 22.5 days of sitting.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan stated that the event is of great significance in legalizing regulations of the 2013 Constitution; perfecting socialism-oriented market regulations; and restructuring the economy. Thus, law making task continues to be a top priority in the third session of the 14thNational Assembly, Ms. Ngan stressed.
The NA will listen to and discuss a report on implementation of policies on food safety in the 2011-2016 period; adopt a resolution on supervisory program of the legislative body and another resolution on establishment of the NA Supervisory Delegation in 2018. Legislators will listen to a report on settlements of voters’ complaints at the previous session.
The NA intended to extend time for Q&A to three days.
The NA will review and discuss a report on the supplementary evaluation of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and State budget in 2016; the implementation of socio-economic development norms and State budget in 2017. Lawmakers will pass the balance-sheet of 2015 Budget estimate and listen to a collective report on voters’ complaints, suggestions and decide important projects.
Chairwoman Ngan suggested deputies raise their sense of responsibility and brainpower to make positive discussions and constructive comments for a successful session.
Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh presented a report supplementing the evaluation of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and State budget in 2016; and the implementation of socio-economic development norms and State budget in 2017.
In this morning, NA deputies and voters listened to a report presented by President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan on collective comments and recommendations of voters and people.
Chairman of the NA Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh delivered a report assessing the Government’s report on the supplementary evaluation of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and State budget in 2016; and the implementation of socio-economic development norms and State budget in 2017./.
