NA Chairwoman starts tour of Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar

VGP – National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan left Ha Noi on September 26 to pay official visits to Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar and attend the 37th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-37).

The official visit to Laos, made by the invitation of Lao NA Chairman Pany Yathotou from September 26-27, aims to develop the long-term traditional relationship and the comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and people.

The NA Chairwoman will continue her official visit to Cambodia at the invitation of her Cambodian counterpart Samdech Heng Samrin from September 27-28.

The visit heads to consolidate and strengthen the comprehensive cooperative relations between Viet Nam and Cambodia.

NA Chairwoman Ngan will tour Myanmar from September 29-October 3 as guest of Myanmar counterpart Mahn Win Khaing Than and attend the AIPA-37 in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

The official visit to Myanmar is aimed at affirming Viet Nam’s respect and desires to accelerate the multi-faceted relations between the two nations in the new context.  

These visits assert commitments on the NA high-ranking delegation exchanges, cooperation in the spirit of the cooperative agreements inked between the Vietnamese NA and its partners of Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar, promote experience exchanges between legislative bodies as well as boost up cooperation in economics, trade, investment, culture and education.
