At the meeting, the NA Chairwoman expected that the Swedish Princess’ visit to Viet Nam will boost and deepen the friendship relations and the traditional cooperation between the two nations, especially on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties.

She expressed thanks to the assistance of the Swedish Royal Family, Government and people for Viet Nam, especially the non-refundable aid up to US$3 billion.

Princess Victoria Ingrid Alice Desiree said that the Swedish delegation is accompanied by 50 businesses to develop business between the two sides and discuss sustainable development programs of mutual concerns.

Sweden is a crucial and reliable  partner of Viet Nam in the EU, she asserted, adding that the two-way trade value reached US$1.5 billion in 2018 and Sweden has poured US$364 million into 67 projects in Viet Nam.

Viet Nam has gradually reformed its legal system and administrative procedures to create a stable legal framework and fair environment for foreign enterprises launching operation in Viet Nam, including ones from Sweden, affirmed Ngan.

Sweden attaches importance to the cooperative relations with Viet Nam, confirmed the Swedish Crown Princess.

Ngan stressed that Viet Nam is willing to work as a bridging role between Sweden and ASEAN, referring to efforts of Viet Nam in environmental protection, hoping that Sweden will support the nation in coping with sea-level rise and environmental protection.
