NA Chairwoman greets visiting Indian President
VGP – Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on November 20 had a meeting with President of India Ram Nath Kovind, who is on a State visit to Viet Nam.

The NA leader spoke highly of the guest’s important speech in front of the Vietnamese legislature, stating that the NA deputies and officials of the State, ministries, sectors and localities in attendance were looking forward to the speech, which shows respect for the Indian President and reflects the sentiments of the Party, State and people of Viet Nam towards India and its people.
President Kovind expressed his appreciation for the Vietnamese State’s hospitality given to him and the Indian delegation, emphasizing the long-lasting development history of the relations between the two countries.
He also thanked NA Chairwoman Ngan for giving him the chance to address the Vietnamese legislature, a special gesture that reflects the in-depth relationship between Viet Nam and India.
The guest recalled his impressions about the official visit to India made by the top Vietnamese legislator in December 2016, during which leaders of the two countries discussed a number of issues and paved the way for the enhancement of bilateral ties.
He expressed his delights at the visit made to India by the Viet Nam-India Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group in 2017, voicing belief that the relations between the two countries would thrive extensively.
Shortly after his meeting with NA Chairwoman Ngan, President Kovind delivered a speech at the Vietnamese NA.
