The NA Chairman praised the successes won by the diplomatic services, which have helped to further improve the country’s status. He said that to build on the gained achievements, Vietnamese diplomats abroad should set out long-term strategies and policies with concrete steps; work harder on information and communicating Vietnam’s image to international friends; function as a focal linkage of over 3 million overseas Vietnamese residing and working abroad so as to mobilize the aggregated strength out of their unity for national construction.

Chairman Nguyễn Phú Trọng affirmed that the NA will consider and design proper treatment regimes and policies to facilitate the Vietnamese diplomats’ performance abroad so that they can make further contribution in their assignments to the cause of national renewal and development.
