VGP – The World Economic Forum on ASEAN (WEF ASEAN) is expected to attract the participation of around 800-1,000 delegates, including high-ranking leaders in ASEAN and other nations in the region, representatives from large-scaled organizations and world and regional leading corporations.

August 07, 2018 4:27 PM GMT+7

The information was released on August 6 at the fourth meeting of the organizing committee for the WEF ASEAN to review the preparation for the event scheduled for September 11-13.

With the theme “ASEAN 4.0: Entrepreneurship and the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, the forum will covers 60 sessions, including sideline activities such as a forum on innovative start-up, a festival on Vietnamese culture, a business summit, and a fact-finding tour to Ha Long Bay in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh.

At the meeting, sub-committees reported the preparations on connectivity, logistics, reception, communications, culture and security and health, proposing measures to tackle obstacles and difficulties to ensure the organization of the event.

Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son highlighted the meaning of the WEF ASEAN 2018 as one of the nation’s crucial diplomatic events in 2018, asking sub-committees to make efforts to complete preparatory works in August 2018 to ensure the success of the event.
