More support for Vietnamese victims in fire in Chinese Taipei

VGP - The Department of Overseas Labor of Viet Nam's Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) has asked the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ha Noi to facilitate the quick granting of visa for families of the Vietnamese falling victims in a fire that broke out at a warehouse in Chinese Taipei.

Three Vietnamese workers died and another is in a serious condition in hospital after a fire broke out at a warehouse in Chinese Taipei on February 6.

Two other workers are still unaccounted for following the blaze at Kerry TJ Logistics in Taoyuan’s Guanyin District, Taiwan.

The department has directed relevant agencies to contact families of the victims to support the processing of procedures for travelling to Chinese Taipei.

Viet Nam’s labor management board in Taiwan has contacted local agencies to investigate the case and required employers to compensate adequately and join hand to hold funeral services for laborers.

The labor management board sent officials to the hospital to visit injured victims in the fire.
