Japan is the largest market for Việt Nam’s frozen shrimps

Frozen shrimps exported to Japan are valued at nearly US $400 million per year, accounting for 30% of the total export turnover of this item.

Quốc Việt Co., Ltd reported that it has just exported a container of high-quality nobashi prawns to Japan. The Sao Ta Food Joint-stock Company (Fimex VN) also delivered 20 tons of shrimps there.

Experts said that in the years to come, a series of bilateral economic cooperative treaties, such as the Việt Nam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (VJEPA), ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership (AJCEP), will come into effect and Việt Nam will see more chances to export its seafood to Japan.
