Mon Asian Food Festival coming to Ha Noi and Ha Long

VGP – The Mon Asian Food Festival (MAFF) 2018 will be held for the first time in Ha Noi and Quang Ninh Province’s Ha Long City this April, as part of the activities to celebrate the national tourism year 2018.

April 13, 2018 2:42 PM GMT+7

The event in response to the National Tourism Year 2018 themed “Ha Long-Heritage, Wonder, Friendly Destination” aims to promote the essence and diversity of the culinary and cultural characteristics of Asian countries.

As part of activities celebrating the national tourism year 2018, the three-day event features 100 stalls, of which 70 will be operated by Vietnamese companies and 30 by firms from Myanmar, Japan, and the Republic of Korea.

It will also draw the participation of Vietnamese and international food and tourism ambassadors, singers, artists, and leading gastronomic experts.

The festival will take place at Mon City My Dinh on Le Duc Tho Street from April 20-22. It will open daily at 10am with art performances and presentations of special dishes by famous artists and international gastronomists.

In Ha Long, the festival will be held at Square 30/10 on Tran Quoc Nghien Street from April 27-29.

A member of the organising board Nguyen Huy Cuong said participants will use coupons instead of cash at the festival.
