MoH receives medicines against HIV/AIDS

VNGOP – Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Finance (MoF), Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm, acting on behalf of the PM, agreed on May 16 that the Ministry of Health (MoH) will receive the eight batch of Retrovirus (ARV) as part of the US President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

May 18, 2007 6:55 AM GMT+7

The MoH was assigned to rely on the Framework Pack signed with the US side on the PEPFAR for Vietnam, discuss with the PEPFAR representative and set up the annual plans of reception of ARV. The MoH must submit these plans to the PM for consideration and decision.

The MoH should direct the Vietnam HIV/AIDS Control Department to collaborate with the MoF and other relevant agencies in managing and using the medicines under current regulations and in an effective way.
