MoH proposes establishment of swine flu inspection teams

VGP - The Ministry of Health (MoH) today said that it has proposed the Government to set up interdisciplinary inspection missions which will check the epidemic control at local levels as the number of A/H1N1 cases rose to 117 in Việt Nam.

June 29, 2009 4:10 PM GMT+7
Until 4 PM this afternoon, Việt Nam’s health agency confirmed 117 cases positive to A/H1N1 virus, with no death. However, there has not been any case got infected in the community.
All the A/H1N1 cases are isolated and treated in healthcare facilities and they are now in good health conditions.
The MoH said that the number of suspected cases returning home from the epidemic-hit countries is on the rise, 30-40 cases per day on average.
The latest A/H1N1 case (a Thai man) was confirmed yesterday afternoon by the Health Department of Tây Ninh Province. The patient was sent to the Pasteur Institute in Hồ Chí Minh City this morning.
The local Health Department recommended that all passengers on the same bus with the patient should go to health facilities when discovering abnormal symptoms.
