Mekong Housing Bank and Vietnam’s largest telecom group enters strategic partnership
VNGOVNet – The Mekong Housing Bank (MHB) and the Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT) signed in Hanoi on January 9 the “Strategic Cooperation Contract” on information technology and telecommunication services.

The contract is an important step towards MHB modernization, helping it to form an advanced technical infrastructure conductive to multi-channel and multinational financial services. It not only saves MHB from developing its own telecommunication systems by outsourcing services from VNPT but also enables it to make best use of technical services from VNPT.
Under the agreed conditions, MHB and VNPT will be strategic customers of each other. VNPT will provide MHB with preferential service prices, better backbone trunks and more transmission lines, as well as local and inter-provincial ADSL on MHB development demands. VNPT also gives MHB access to New Generation Network (NGN) and Call-Center technologies specifically made for finance and banking. VNPT will support and educate MHB on the most State-of-the-art technologies as they come available.
On its side, MHB pledges the most optimal financial services for VNPT’s staff and clients across the board.
