Master plan to develop Tam Chuc national tourism site approved

VGP – The Prime Minister recently approved a master plan for the development of the Tam Chuc national tourism site in the northern province of Ha Nam until 2030.

May 16, 2018 1:26 PM GMT+7

The Tam Chuc national tourism site covers Ba Sao townlet and three villages of Vong, Khuyen Cong, and Kha Phong in Kha Phong commune, Kim Bang district, with its core zone encompassing 4,000 hectares.

Under the plan, the Tam Chuc tourism site will basically meet the criteria of a national tourism site by 2025, and will strive to become a national tourism site by 2030, with a system of synchronous infrastructure and high-quality tourist products, making significant contributions to the local socio-economic development.

Specifically, the Tam Chuc national tourism site is expected to welcome 3,700 arrivals of visitors (470,000 international arrivals) and generate jobs for 2,400 laborers (900 direct laborers) in 2025. The figures are hoped to increase by around 6,000 tourist arrivals (750,000 international arrivals) and 4,500 laborers (1,800 direct laborers) in 2030.

Revenue from tourism is expected to reach VND1.1 trillion (US$48.4 million) in 2025 and more than VND1.7 trillion (US$74.8 million) by 2030.

The Tam Chuc national tourism site will focus on exploiting the domestic tourist markets of Ha Noi and the neighboring northern provinces, and step by step expanding the markets to Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces. Meanwhile, its key international tourist market will be countries from Northeast Asia, ASEAN, West Europe, and North America; Australia; and India.
