Master plan set up for transport network between VN and Cambodia

VNGOVNet – On behalf of the PM, on February 23, Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng gave his opinion on supporting Cambodian localities in building roads connected to Vietnam.

The Deputy PM assigned the Ministry of Transport to function as the main implementer in collaboration with the related ministries, sectors, local authorities as well as the Cambodian partners to design a master plan on connecting transport network between Vietnam and Cambodia, then submit it to the PM for consideration and decision; and negotiate with the Cambodian partners in investing in these roads.

Functioning as the main implementers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Planning and Investment will coordinate with the ministries, sectors, local authorities and the Cambodian partners to put the above-mentioned investment projects (including measures and funds) into the agreement minutes of the Vietnam-Cambodia Joint Meetings, then submit them to the PM for consideration and decision.
