Maritime equipment factory inaugurated

VGP – A factory producing high-quality maritime switchboards and equipment was official put into operation yesterday in the Nomura Industrial Zone in the coastal city of Hải Phòng by EL-TEC Vietnam Limited, a joint venture between Dutch TEC Elektrotechnologie B.V and Vietnamese EDH Technology Development Joint Stock Company.

July 29, 2009 9:47 AM GMT+7

The venture specializes in producing, assembling and installing all kinds of switchboards  used in the fields of maritime, construction and industry.

It also provides market research services relating to Việt Nam’s ship-building industry.

EL-TEC Vietnam has the charter capital of €1.5 million, or VND 31.5 billion, of which the Dutch side contributes 75% and the Vietnamese company holds 25%.

In recent years, the Government of Việt Nam has strongly encouraged local and foreign investors to pour capital in supporting industries, particular those for the country’s ship-building sector.
