Management and use of industrial property fees and charges stipulated
VGP – The Ministry of Finance has issued Circular No. 263 /2016/TT-BTC stipulating the rates, collection, remittance, management and use of industrial property fees and charges.
Vietnamese and foreign organizations and individuals who file requests to the State management agency in charge of intellectual property to reform works, provide services related to the protection of industrial property rights shall pay fees and charges under this Circular.
The circular defines the fee for filing applications for protection titles of, registration of industrial property rights transfer contracts at VND150,000 (each application/claim) and the fee for filing an announcement of organizations in charge of collecting fees at VND120,000 per one.
Fees for granting protection titles and certificates of industrial property rights transfer contracts include the fee for granting protection titles of VND120,000 per one and fee for granting certificates of industrial property rights transfer contracts of VND120,000 per one.
Fee for registering decisions on granting certificates of industrial property representative practice, certificates of industrial property assessor is VND200,000 per one.
Fees and charges as specified in this Circular shall be collected in Viet Nam Dong except the case that fees will be collected through the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) with Swiss franc (CHF).
The Circular will take effect since January 1, 2017.
