Made-in-VN social network makes debut

VGP – Gapo, the Vietnamese social network ( officially made debut in Viet Nam on July 23 after three months of development.

This is the social network under control of Vietnamese and one of Viet Nam’s social networks to be open in this year. 

Gapo has interface, layout and features that mimic the Facebook. Besides basic features such as message, posting articles, adding friends, like and share, Gapo has additional features of decorating articles and identifying user accounts. 

Users can use different wallpapers, colors, music, videos and even other interactive images.

In particular, this social network allows users to identify accounts to protect and secure benefits in case of disputes.

Gapo also has automatic keyword filtering and a team to censor bad news based on the information reported by users.

Users could experience the network by downloading it on Google Play Store, App Store, or go to to sign up.

A new social network, called Gapo, has launched in Viet Nam with an investment of $22 million from G Capital in an effort to shift users to a local platform amid a strong presence of global players in the market. 
Gapo targets to have 3 million users in 2019, and 50 million by January 2021.
