Live: State Funeral for late State President Tran Dai Quang

VGP –The State Funeral for State President Tran Dai Quang is organized from September 26-27.

State President Tran Dai Quang laid to rest in his hometown. Leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, Viet Nam Fatherland Front, comrades, compatriots, and family of the State President observed a one-minute silence to pay their last respects to him.

On behalf of the funeral organizing board and the State President’s family, Standing Deputy Prime Minister and head of the board Truong Hoa Binh expressed thanks to mourners for attending the tribute-paying and burial service for the leader.

At 15.10, the coffin of State President Tran Dai Quang was taken to the grave. According to the prospect of his family and the approval of the Political Bureau, the coffin of the State President is buried at his hometown – Kim Son District Cemetery, Ninh Binh province.

Standing Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh announced to begin the burial ceremony, which is held at 15:30 pm in his home town.

Acting State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh and Standing Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh are leading the delegation to take the coffin of the State President to the grave.

The coffin of State President Tran Dai Quang arrived at the State President’s home province of Ninh Binh at 13.00.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong deliveres the funeral oration, emphasizing the great contributions that State President Tran Dai Quang has made to the Party and the nation’s revolution cause and to people’s happiness.

The memorial service is attended by Party  General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Acting President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh and Standing Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh, along with many former leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government.

The memorial service is held at the hall at 7:00 am on September 27 at the National Funeral Home at No.5 Le Thanh Tong Street in Ha Noi.

The President’s coffin, wrapped in the national flag, was then moved out of the National Funeral Hall to be taken to Ninh Binh.

The burial ceremony is scheduled at 15:30 am the same day in his home town – Kim Son District Cemetery, Ninh Binh province.

As many as 1,658 delegations and around 50,000 representatives of agencies and localities, and people at all levels paid tribute to State President Tran Dai Quang in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and his hometown in Kim Son, Ninh Binh Province. A total number of 164 diplomatic delegations and international organizations paid respects to the Vietnamese late State President.

The tribute-paying and memorial ceremonies are taking place at Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and Kim Son District People’s Committee in Ninh Binh at the same time with those in Ha Noi.
