Legislature concludes second sitting
VGP - The second sitting of the 15th National Assembly (NA) concluded in Ha Noi on Saturday morning after 16 days of on-site and virtual meeting.
The legislators adopted two laws: Law on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Statistics and Appendix List of national statistical indicators of the Law on Statistics, and Law on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Criminal Procedure Code.
They also adopted the 2022 socio-economic development plan, setting out 15 key development targets as follows:
(1) GDP growth: Around 6-6.5 percent
(2) GDP per capita: US$3,900
(3) Share of manufacturing and processing in GDP: 25.5-25.8 percent
(4) Average growth of consumer price index: Around 4 percent
(5) Average growth rate of labor productivity: Around 5.5 percent
(6) Labor force rate in agriculture: 27.5 percent
(7) Rate of trained workforce: 67 percent; rate of trained workers with degrees and certificates: 27-27.5 percent
(8) Unemployment rate in urban areas: Below 4 percent
(9) Multidimensional poverty reduction rate: 1-1.5 percent
(10) Number of doctors per 10,000 inhabitants: 9.4
(11) Number of patient beds per 10,000 inhabitants: 29.5
(12) Health insurance coverage: 92 percent
(13) Rate of communes meeting new-style rural criteria: 73 percent
(14) Rate of solid waste collection and treatment meeting standards and regulations: 89 percent
(15) Rate of industrial parks and processing zones completing the central wastewater treatment systems: 91 percent
