Legal foundation laid for e-commerce

VNGOP – At the National Symposium “Promoting E-commerce in Việt Nam” held on December 19 in Hà Nội, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Department of E-commerce Trần Hữu Linh announced Việt Nam’s five e-commerce events 2007, including the laying of legal foundation for e-commerce.

The Symposium attracted about 500 representatives from ministries, sectors, e-commerce enterprises, corporations and businesses applying e-commerce, information technology companies, and banks.

The agenda included immersion discussions on Việt Nam’s e-commerce actualities in 2007, development orientations, solutions of the State and businesses, e-commerce development in localities, improvement of enterprise management and operation, consumer protection in e-commerce, particular tasks and solutions taken by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Symposium is also a chance for policy-making bodies and the business circle to share their experience and accelerate the realization of the Overall Plan on E-commerce Development in the period of 2006-2010.
